State Government
(1) The Governor shall summon each House to meet from time to time, with no more than a six-month gap between sessions. (2) The Governor may prorogue the House(s) or dissolve the Legislative Assembly.
This mirrors Article 85 at the state level: a state Legislature cannot go more than six months without meeting, and the Governor (typically acting on the state Council of Ministers' advice) holds the formal power to end a session or dissolve the Assembly.
This six-month rule is why state Assemblies, like Parliament, reliably hold multiple sessions each year rather than going long stretches without meeting.
