State Government
There shall be a Governor for each State: Provided that nothing in this article shall prevent the appointment of the same person as Governor for two or more States.
Every state has its own Governor - the state-level equivalent of the President - though the Constitution allows one person to serve as Governor of more than one state simultaneously if needed.
It isn't unusual, especially for smaller states or during a transition, for the same individual to be appointed Governor of two neighbouring states at once, as this article specifically permits.
