Attempts to Commit Offences
A person commits abetment under the Sanhita if, outside India, they abet the commission of an act in India that would be an offence if committed there.
This mirrors Section 47 in the opposite direction - someone based outside India who instigates or helps arrange a crime carried out within India can be prosecuted under Indian law for that abetment.
This is directly relevant to overseas-based scam operations: someone abroad who instigates or organises a fraud scheme actually carried out against victims in India can be prosecuted under this section for abetment, even though they never set foot in India.
