Attempts to Commit Offences
Whoever abets an offence, if it's actually committed as a result of the abetment and no specific punishment for that abetment is otherwise provided, is punished with the same punishment as the offence itself.
This is the default rule: if there's no special punishment specified for abetting a particular offence, and the offence actually happened because of that abetment, the abettor faces the SAME punishment as if they'd committed the offence themselves.
Someone who conspires with another to poison a victim, and the poisoning actually occurs as a result, faces the same punishment as the person who actually administered the poison, even though they didn't personally do it.
