Attempts to Commit Offences
A person commits abetment under the Sanhita if, in India, they abet the commission of an act outside India that would be an offence if committed in India.
This ensures someone in India who instigates or helps arrange a crime that actually takes place abroad can still be prosecuted in India for that abetment, closing an obvious jurisdictional gap.
Someone in India who instigates a scam-related crime to be carried out in a foreign country can be prosecuted in India for that abetment, even though the actual crime happened abroad.
