False Evidence and Offences Against Public Justice
A public servant corruptly/maliciously making or pronouncing a report, order, verdict, or decision in a judicial proceeding, known to be contrary to law, is punished with up to 7 years' imprisonment, fine, or both.
This directly criminalises judicial or quasi-judicial corruption - a decision-maker deliberately issuing a ruling they know violates the law, for corrupt or malicious reasons.
A public official acting in a judicial capacity who knowingly issues a ruling that violates the law, motivated by corruption or malice, faces this offence.
