False Evidence and Offences Against Public Justice
A public servant charged with preparing a record/writing, who frames it incorrectly, intending or knowing likely to cause loss/injury or to save someone from punishment or property from forfeiture, is punished with up to 3 years' imprisonment, fine, or both.
This is a more specific version of Section 255, targeting deliberately falsifying an official record itself (rather than simply disobeying a legal direction) to protect a wrongdoer.
A public official who deliberately falsifies an official record specifically to help someone evade punishment or protect their property from seizure commits this offence.
