False Evidence and Offences Against Public Justice
Knowingly harbouring someone who's escaped lawful custody, or whose apprehension has been lawfully ordered, with intent to prevent their apprehension, is punished based on the underlying offence's severity, mirroring the tiered scale from Sections 249-251 - except when the harbourer is the person's spouse.
This closes a gap by specifically targeting harbouring someone AFTER they've escaped custody or been ordered apprehended (rather than merely having committed the original offence).
Someone who knowingly hides an escaped prisoner, or a person police have lawfully been ordered to arrest, faces liability scaled to how serious the underlying case against that person is.
