False Evidence and Offences Against Public Justice
Fraudulently removing, concealing, transferring, or delivering property to prevent it being taken as a forfeiture/fine under a (pronounced or expected) Court sentence, or in execution of a (made or expected) civil decree/order, is punished with up to 3 years' imprisonment, up to ₹5,000 fine, or both.
This prevents defendants from fraudulently hiding or transferring their assets specifically to dodge a court-ordered fine, forfeiture, or civil judgment.
Someone who transfers their property to a relative's name specifically to prevent it from being seized to satisfy a court judgment against them commits this offence.
