Contempts of the Lawful Authority of Public Servants
Intentionally preventing service of a legally issued summons/notice/order/proclamation (on oneself or another), or preventing/removing its lawful posting, is punished with up to 1 month's imprisonment, up to ₹5,000 fine, or both - rising to 6 months/₹10,000 for Court-related proceedings.
This extends Section 206's logic to actively obstructing the service or public posting of legal notices, not just evading personal service.
Tearing down a legally posted court notice specifically to prevent it from being seen constitutes this offence.
