Offences by or Relating to Public Servants
A public servant who knowingly disobeys a legal direction governing their conduct, intending or knowing it likely to cause injury to someone, is punished with up to 1 year's simple imprisonment, fine, or both.
This holds public servants criminally liable for knowingly breaking the legal rules governing their own official conduct, specifically when done to cause harm to someone.
An officer legally directed to seize property to satisfy a court decree, who knowingly disobeys that direction knowing it will harm the person entitled to the decree, commits this offence.
