Offences Against Public Tranquillity
(1)-(3) Force/violence used by an unlawful assembly (or any member) in pursuit of its common object is "rioting" by every member, punished with up to 2 years' imprisonment, fine, or both - rising to up to 5 years if armed with a deadly weapon.
This upgrades unlawful assembly to "rioting" once actual force or violence is used, with a further enhanced penalty for weapon-armed rioters.
Once an unlawful assembly's members actually resort to violence in pursuit of their shared goal, the offence escalates from mere unlawful assembly to rioting, with a correspondingly higher penalty.
