Offences Against the Human Body
Intentionally using force on someone without their consent, to commit an offence, or intending/knowing it likely to cause injury, fear, or annoyance, is "criminal force".
This adds the criminal element (lack of consent plus harmful/offence-related intent) to the bare mechanical definition of "force" from Section 128 - turning ordinary physical contact into a punishable act when done without consent and with harmful intent.
Deliberately pushing someone, throwing something at them, or otherwise physically affecting them without their consent, intending to cause fear or annoyance, constitutes criminal force under this section.
