Encounter in Delhi between cops and Gogi Gang aides, one arrested, two escape

A police encounter occurred in Delhi's Rohini area following a tip-off about a planned attack by associates of the Gogi Gang. A police patrol team intercepted a white Swift car near Bankey Bihari Mandir in the early hours after receiving information that suspects intended to target the residence of a prominent person linked with the Gau Rakshak Dal.

According to reports, the targeted individual had called for a Maha Sabha following an incident where three people were allegedly beaten by the primary suspect and his associates. The suspect had reportedly circulated a video of that assault on Instagram. When officers signaled the vehicle to stop, the occupants rammed the police car and opened fire.

Police retaliated, resulting in gunshot injuries to the legs of two suspects. One suspect was apprehended at the scene, while two others managed to escape by scaling a wall. Officers recovered sophisticated weapons and a country-made pistol from the individuals involved.

Authorities stated that a case is being registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. Investigators are continuing efforts to locate the absconding individuals and uncover the wider criminal network.
