Amendment & Miscellaneous
Omitted by the Constitution (Seventh Amendment) Act, 1956, s. 29 and Sch. (w.e.f. 1-11-1956).
This block of thirteen articles (379 through 391) originally contained detailed transitional provisions specifically for the former princely-state-derived "Part B States" category that existed under the Constitution's original 1950 state classification system. When the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 abolished the Part A/B/C state classification entirely (replacing it with the unified state structure India still uses today), these articles - having served their specific transitional purpose - were removed as no longer needed.
This entire block of omitted articles reflects how significantly India's internal state structure changed between 1950 and 1956 - the original Constitution's Part A/B/C state classification system was substantially different from, and was replaced by, the more familiar unified state structure used ever since.
