Union Territories & Panchayats
(1) State law may give every co-operative society member access to the society's books, information, and accounts related to their own transactions with it. (2) State law may set minimum participation requirements (like meeting attendance or minimum use of services) for members. (3) State law may provide for member co-operative education and training.
This gives ordinary co-operative members a right to see records of their own dealings with the society - important transparency protection, especially for members of credit or savings co-operatives who need to verify their own account records are accurate.
A member of a co-operative credit society has a right, under this framework, to access records of their own loan or deposit transactions with that society, rather than being kept in the dark about their own financial dealings with it.
