Special Provisions
During a National Emergency, the President may by order modify how Articles 268-279 (revenue distribution) operate, for a period not extending beyond the financial year in which the Emergency ends - any such order must be laid before Parliament.
This lets the President temporarily adjust the normal Union-State tax revenue sharing arrangements during a National Emergency, reflecting that a genuine national crisis might require reallocating financial resources differently than the standard peacetime formula allows.
During a National Emergency, the President could temporarily modify the usual revenue-sharing rules between the Union and states to better address the crisis's specific financial demands, subject to Parliament being informed of any such order.
