State Government
No person shall be eligible for appointment as Governor unless he is a citizen of India and has completed the age of thirty-five years.
The formal eligibility bar for becoming a Governor is quite minimal - just Indian citizenship and a minimum age of 35 - much simpler than the detailed qualifications for President.
Unlike the President, there's no requirement here that a Governor have any legislative or judicial experience - by convention, though, Governors are usually retired politicians, civil servants, judges, or other senior public figures.
