Offences Relating to Property Marks
Making or possessing a die/plate/instrument for counterfeiting a property mark, or possessing a property mark intended to falsely denote ownership, is punished with up to 3 years' imprisonment, fine, or both.
This targets the property-mark-counterfeiting supply chain - the actual tools and materials used to produce fake ownership/quality marks.
Possessing specialised equipment designed for producing counterfeit brand or quality marks on goods is itself an offence under this section, even before any actual counterfeit marking has occurred.
