General Provisions
No good-faith communication is an offence for harm it causes to the person it's made to, if made for that person's benefit.
This protects honest, well-intentioned communication - like a doctor truthfully informing a patient of a serious diagnosis - even if the news itself causes the recipient distress or harm, as long as it was genuinely made in good faith for their benefit.
A doctor who, in good faith, tells a patient a difficult truth about their prognosis is protected under this section even if the shock of the news contributes to the patient's death - the communication itself, made for the patient's benefit, isn't an offence.
