Offences Against Property
Committing theft after preparing to cause death/hurt/restraint (or fear of these) to facilitate the theft, one's escape, or retaining stolen property, is punished with up to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment plus fine.
This severely punishes theft where the offender came prepared with violence-capable means, even if that violence wasn't ultimately needed or used - the mere preparation is enough to trigger this enhanced penalty.
A pickpocket who brings armed accomplices specifically to restrain the victim if they notice and resist faces this severely enhanced penalty, even if the accomplices are never actually needed.
