Offences Against the State
Committing (or preparing to commit) plunder on the territories of a foreign State at peace with India is punished with up to 7 years' imprisonment, fine, and forfeiture of property used in or acquired by the act.
This criminalises cross-border plundering raids against a friendly neighbouring country, with mandatory forfeiture of any property involved.
Organising a raiding party to plunder property across the border in a friendly country triggers this offence, with the raided property or raiding equipment subject to forfeiture.
