Easy money promises targeting job seekers, students and homemakers
Work-from-home scams specifically target people who cannot leave home โ students, homemakers, the elderly, and people in smaller towns with limited local employment. They promise flexible hours, high pay, and simple tasks. The reality: after paying a 'registration fee,' victims receive nothing, or are drawn into a task-scam cycle requiring ongoing deposits.
Ad or WhatsApp message: 'Earn โน500โ1,000/hour from home โ data entry, copy-paste, form filling โ no experience needed.'
Victim registers and is asked for a deposit (โน500โโน5,000) to receive the 'work kit' or 'task access.'
Work may begin โ but payment is always blocked pending 'more tasks' or 'completion of set.'
Victim either never receives payment, or is drawn into a Telegram task scam cycle.
Internship variant: fake companies offer paid internships to students โ charge โน2,000โโน10,000 'registration fee.'
